Lest We Forget

We shouldn't forget that for the better part of 2003 Stephen Harper advocated vigorously for Canada to participate in the war in Iraq.

"Jean Chrétien has left Canada outside this multilateral coalition of nations," he wrote. "This is a serious mistake."
"Canada remains alienated from its allies, shut out of the reconstruction process to some degree, unable to influence events. There is no upside to the position Canada took."

Had he been prime minister of a majority government at the time, we'd be mired in this fiasco of a war today. Why should we trust him?
